Fashion for Relief... The Moss Effect!

Fashionista’s were out in force last night as the show ‘Fashion for Relief for Haiti’ launched London Fashion Week. Unfortunately I missed out and was not there but here are some of my personal highlights from the news coverage. In loving memory of Alexander McQueen Naomi Campbell opened the show for her White Ribbon Alliance to help victims of the Haitian Earthquake Appeal, wearing a piece from the McQueen Spring/Summer 2010 Collection.

The show was star studded with not only models, but everyone from singers, to sportsmen even Blogger’s (No not us Maybe next year!) took to the catwalk to show their support. Some might say the highlight of the night was the steaming kiss that was shared between David Walliams and James Corden! It was clearly a fun night for all involved and no one was taking themselves too seriously!

Some of my least favourite moments were seeing Geri Halliwell strutting her stuff in a pale corset chiffon boulles number, quite reminiscent of a playboy bunny with the way her hair was styled (not to my taste :-P) also in question was Jo wood, sporting the lingerie trend covered with a sheer vintage lace? Your thoughts please!!

Highlights of the evening included Erin Oconor’s sporting a Putney nude Jumpsuit by Stella Mc Cartney looking as graceful as ever! Beverley Knight put in a fabulous performance whilst dawning an Ashish number, and Nicola Roberts the fast becoming style’con took to the catwalk wearing a sexy black number by Guilty Brothers.

But for me and im sure for most of you, the highlight of the evening had to be when Kate Moss hit the runway (despite her accredited dislike to catwalk modelling these days) sporting another McQueen number, of which later raised £100,000 when auctioned by Sir Phillip Green (Apologies for all of you who were sadly outbid :-P).  Our very good friend Laura Elliott was at the event, "Kate Moss walked out as a surprise, later joined by Naomi Campbell and Annebelle Nielson I was AMAZED!”

Check out this video to see it for yourselves!

Also those who can please donate to The Haiti Appeal… follow the link below if fashion has inspired you to help!

Have a fantastic weekend!!
