Model of the moment....Julia Johansen

I am loving Model of the moment, Julia Johansen! The Finnish model has perfect freckles, pouty lips, and stunning eyes and is in fact, the girl who inspired the look for the entire Mulberry Spring Summer 2011 Collection. Mulberry Creative Director Emma Hill spotted Johansen at the label's casting day and was instantly smitten; 'Julia walked in, wearing a Metallica T-shirt and converse. And I thought "that's it". She has this upturned look to her mouth that seems quite mischievous, like she has a secret'.

Her look was so important they gave all the models a uniform look on the catwalk of "The Julia", a choppy blunt-fringed long bob wig. I want one!!

The awaited Jean Paul Gaultier for La Perla lingerie collection is set to hit stores in November and is expected to include corsets, the iconic cone-bras and retro high-waisted underwear. All in baby pinks, blacks and corals. Hot!! Yes! Nearly all the pieces will be hand made!

Jean Paul Gaultier is not a stranger to lingerie (err Madonna anyone?). His entire Spring 2010 ready-to-wear collection was inspired by lingerie and was called “The G Spot”. So as you can imagine, this new line will be something amazing!!!

“Lingerie is part of my DNA and of my heritage. It is now almost thirty years since I have designed my first corset dress, and in my latest prêt-à-porter collection I revisited the conical bras and corsets worn as outerwear. This collaboration was a natural and logical step especially since La Perla is the pearl of the lingerie, with a long history and the best savoir faire,” Gaultier said of the collaboration.

You will be able to buy the collection in La Perla and Jean Paul Gaultier boutiques around the world, in exclusive international department stores and in a number of highly-selected fashion stores.

Phoebe Philo for CELINE ♥ ♥

I just had to blog about my style hero Phoebe Philo. Her current role as Creative Director of Céline has made me love her even more than  I did back in her Chloé days. The Céline spring, winter and fall collections of 2010 have been amazing and I cant wait to see what she comes up with next.

I have serious issues with the handbags too......I need these in my life!!!!

I think it's become quite clear that within a short period of time Phoebe has achieved more than many of her contemporaries have before her at Céline. She has introduced her cool, minimalism and what I personally love is that she bases her design philosophy on what she wants to wear. This has created a mass of 'Philophiles' across the globe. What is great about her style is that once you've seen it and bought into it - you cant actually remember what you were wearing before. It's a very modern, utilitarian look but it works together so well and is so desirable. All hail Phoebe ♥ ♥ ♥
