Coco & Igor

Opening today in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles, Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky picks up where last year’s Coco Before Chanel left off, delving into the passionate relationship between the two creative titans.  Director Jan Kounen has a secret weapon in this movie in the form of one of Karl Lagerfeld’s muses for Chanel, actress Anna Mouglalis. With her statuesque figure, smoky voice and confident strut, Mouglalis carries off the title role with effortless panache. The stunning wardrobe consists of pieces from the designer’s personal collection as well as gowns Karl Lagerfeld made specifically for the movie.  Whether exploring her professional work or her personal life, the film shows how the thoroughly-modern Mademoiselle Chanel continues to be an endless source of inspiration and intrigue for new generations.
